Thank you for participating in our Play Clean Photo Contest. To participate, please submit photos of yourself or your family members recreating safely and avoiding lead exposure. The following list of behaviors will help you avoid lead exposure:
- Wash your hands and face before eating.
- Bring water for drinking, cooking, and washing. Do not use water from rivers or lakes, even if it is filtered.
- Eat on a table or on a blanket in grassy areas.
- Remove dirt from clothes, toys, pets, and equipment before leaving an area. Wash your pets, if they are dirty, before they enter your home.
- Avoid tracking dirt and dust home from recreational areas. This dirt and dust can become an exposure source. Keep yourself and your belongings clean.
- Follow fish advisories.
- Stay on the trail and designated rest areas when using the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes.

- Does the photo display a behavior that can reduce lead exposure to my family when enjoying the outdoors?
- Does the photo show a safe recreational activity?
- Is the image good quality?

Release forms should be submitted when you submit your photo. The following prizes will be awarded:
- Grand Prize – One folding table, two folding camp chairs, and a small cooler
- Honorable Mention – 10-liter dry bag
Contest winners will be announced on September 15th, 2025. Winning submissions will be posted to this webpage and will be contacted directly by email or phone.
