The EPA began its sixth Five-Year Review of the Bunker Hill Superfund site – also known as the “Coeur d’Alene Basin Cleanup” – in northern Idaho this month. We are required to review Superfund site cleanups at least every five years when contaminants remain in place. EPA uses the review to make sure that cleanup actions continue to be protective of people’s health and the environment.
Community members with information or ideas to share about the site are invited to participate in the public comment period. To provide your input, email Ronquillo.Rafi@epa.gov by Aug. 31.
